What are Lids for Kids?

"There's nothing like a great hat.." and Lids for Kids provides hats for children who are undergoing chemotherapy for life threatening illnesses.

Since its establishment, Lids For Kids has provided thousands of hats for children who have lost their hair -- a side-effect of chemotherapy treatments. This can be a traumatic experience for young people, and the Lids For Kids program in some small way helps make it better.

Gregg began the program after accumulatiing hundreds of hats from whizmos (Gregg's term of endearment for kids,) visiting Gregg during the summer Harbour Town concerts.

If you'd like to contribute a hat to Lids For Kids while visiting on the island, have your whizmo bring it to the 8pm concert under the Liberty oak tree. You can also get in touch by mail, phone or email.
